Project Description: The project extends from Company Drive to Shelbyville Road in Marion County (1.64 miles). It included the widening of the existing roadway to a five-lane road with curb and gutter, enclosed drainage, and pedestrian facilities. The project also included replacement of an existing three-span bridge structure over Little Buck Creek.
The rehabilitation included shifting the existing centerline to reduce right-of-way acquisition and caused special consideration to be given to the treatment of the roadway crown and resurfacing. Right-of-way limits were set on a parcel-by-parcel basis to minimize the right-of-way costs and acquisitions.
