BRIDGE DESIGN ENGINEER

This position consists of the design of highway, pedestrian, and railroad bridges for transportation projects. The position also includes the structural design of other transportation structures including: Retaining Walls, Barrier Walls, Noise Abatement Barriers and other transportation related structures. Typical project assignments would include: Structural Ratings, Bridge Inspections, Structural Design for Bridges and Retaining Walls, Approach Roadway Design, Hydraulic Design and Floodway Mapping. UNITED utilizes state of the art bridge design software such as LEAP, Merlin Dash, Descus, and MIDAS. Candidates must have a BS in Civil Engineering. EOE/M/F/D/V

This position consists of the design and plan development of Indiana transportation projects. Typical assignments would include horizontal and vertical alignment designs, hydraulic design, pavement design, signing design, and traffic design. This position offers the opportunity to work on Interstates, Interchanges, US Routes, State Routes as well as local roads and streets.
